The six-sided cabin nestled in the Alaska Range has a wood stove and sleeping benches. It's a great place to base camp out of or just hang out and enjoy a full frontal view of Mount McKinley, from 6,100 ft. above sea level on the Ruth glacier. The Don Sheldon Mountain House was built and homesteaded by Holly Sheldonâ€™s father, inside the current boundary of Denali National Park, before the land was annexed into the park.
