Glacier Landing Experience
Touch the Ice. Elevate the Journey.
Step out of the aircraft and onto ancient glacier ice in the heart of Denali National Park—an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience that transforms your flightseeing tour into something truly extraordinary.
Add a glacier landing to any Sheldon Air Service scenic flight and immerse yourself in the stillness and scale of Alaska’s most iconic terrain. Surrounded by towering granite peaks and endless snowfields, you’ll have the rare opportunity to walk on a glacier that has shaped the landscape for millennia.
A Moment Unlike Any Other
Whether it’s your first visit to Alaska or your tenth, standing on a glacier beneath the sheer walls of the Alaska Range offers a perspective few ever experience. The air is crisp, the silence immense, and the feeling—completely humbling.
Your pilot will select the ideal glacier landing site within Denali National Park, based on real-time conditions and safety. You’ll have time to step out, take photographs, and simply be present in this surreal alpine world.
What to Bring
For your comfort, we recommend:
- A light jacket or windbreaker
- Sunglasses (glacier light can be intense)
- A camera or smartphone to capture the experience
Glacier landings are available year-round, weather and surface conditions permitting.
National Park Entry Requirement
Because all glacier landings occur within Denali National Park, a valid National Park Entrance Pass is required. If you don’t already have one, passes are available at our office for $15 per person, and are valid for 7 days.
Add a glacier landing to your flightseeing tour and transform awe into immersion.
Exclusive. Timeless. Utterly Unforgettable.
